K'taka CM Kumaraswamy on private visit to Oman

Dubai, Jun 7: Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy will be making a private visit to Oman on June 11.

The Chief Minister's visit, hosted by prominent Indian businessman BR Shetty, managing director of UAE Exchange, will provide an opportunity to thousands of people from the state residing in Oman to interact with him, an official statement said.

The UAE Exchange, in association with the Indian Embassy and the Karnataka wing of the Indian Social Club, has planned a felicitation meeting in his honour.

Mr Kumaraswamy would be accompanied by minister for Medical Education and Animal Husbandry VS Acharya and senior officials, including Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Sudhakar Rao.

The Chief Minister will be meeting Oman's minister of Commerce and Industry Maqbool bin Ali Sultan and the officials of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
