CM assures justice in housing scam
Thiruvananthapuram, June 7: Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan today said proper action would be taken after examining the reports relating to the allegations against his Cabinet colleague P J Joseph in the Maithri Housing project.
Talking to newspersons here, the Chief Minister said he had also discussed the matter with Public Works Minister P J Joseph after the allegations that funds to the tune of Rs 433 crore were diverted from the Maithri Housing project when Mr Joseph was the Housing Board Minister in the previous Left Democratic Front Ministry.
Referring to the findings by an Assembly panel on the matter, Mr Achuthanandan said there were several interpretations to the report and a final conclusion on the matter could be reached only after examining the matter in detail.
He said the government would try to bring out the truth in this matter.
The Congress has already sought a detailed inquiry into the housing scam.
