Jaipur, June 7 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party held a dharna here today in protest against the hike in petrol and diesel prices.

Around 150 BJP workers congregated at city's Badi Chaupar to protest against the frequent increase of petrol and diesel prices.

While addressing the workers, BJP legislator Nathu Lal Gujjar said the UPA government has increased the price several times in the last two years, which has hit the common man hard.

Meanwhile, Shiv Sena activists burnt the effigy of union Petroleum Minister, Murli Deora near the historic Hawa Mahal and indulged in chakka jam to protest against the hike.

Slogans like 'Increase employment opportunities instead of increase in petrol, diesel prices' were part of the Shiv Sena rally, which marched from Choti Chaupad to Badi Chaupad.
