54 DCPs, SPs transferred in State

Mumbai, June 7 (UNI) In a major reshuffle, as many as 54 Deputy Commissioners of Police and Superintendents of Police have been transferred in the State.

In Mumbai, Mr Amitabh Gupta, DCP, has been transferred to SRP Group VIII as commandant while Mr A R Shinde from Zone IV has been transferred as additional SP, Thane Rural.

Mr Ashok Dongre has been transferred to Ports and Customs. Mr N M Rathod will assume charge as SP (Protection of Human Rights) while M G Bhoir will take over as DCP in his place. Mr Santosh Rastogi will take over as the SP at Beed while R P Shengaonkar and A S Deshbhratar have both been transferred to Thane.

Mr S B Baviskar from the Jalna Police Training School has been sent to Mumbai as DCP of the Anti Terrorist Squad. Mr G P Dhoom, who was additional SP at Jalna and Mr M Shinde from Nashik have also been sent to Mumbai.
