BJP adamant; Rahul episode a family issue

New Delhi, June 6: Sticking to the its point that the Rahul Mahajan episode was a family matter, the BJP today issued a subdued comment saying that law had taken its own course.

Asked for the the party's reaction, BJP Spokesman Prakash Javadekar said the party's views were amply articulated by its senior leader Sushma Swaraj and he had nothing to add.

To a question if the BJP agreed with former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's comments that one tended to go astray when in wrong company and the party would bring him on the right track, the BJP spokesman said Mr Vajpayee's view should be seen as that of the head of the family.

''There is no contradictions within the BJP on the issue,'' he said.

Mr Javadekar said BJP President Rajnath Singh had already stated in Bhubaneshwar that law will take its own course.
