Three girls share first place in Aurangabad div HSC exam

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, June 5 (UNI) Three girls, two of them from Deogiri College and one from Shri Shivaji College of Parbhani, have shared the first place in Aurangabad division of the State Secondary and Higher Secondary Education examination.

The three toppers of the science faculty -- Kalyani Kejul Pravin, Kadam Ashlesha Vishnu of the Deogiri College, Aurangabad and Dake Pratiksha Parmeshwar of the Shri Shivaji College of Arts and Science and Commerce, Parbhani secured a total 579 marks out of 600, recording a 96.50 per cent result.

According to the results announced by the Aurangabad division of the State HSC board here today, another two students from the science faculty -- Biradar Nitesh Balwant of the Deogiri College, Aurangabad and Nahar Pankaj Premchand of the Saw K S K Arts Science and Commerce College, Beed -- stood second and third place, respectively, in the division, which comprises disitrcts - Beed, Parbhani, Aurangabad, Jalna and Hingoli.

Also, Nitesh secured 578 marks (96.33 per cent) and Pankaj got 574 marks (95.67 per cent), the result statement said.

As many as 1,07,394 students appeared for the HSC examination from the division, of which 68,292 (63.59 per cent) passed.
