Thousand-year-old coin recovered, two arrested in Tripura
Agartala, June 5 (UNI) Dharmanagar police in Tripura's North district has recovered a thousand-year-old coin and some foreign currency and two persons, including a girl, were arrested in this connection, police today said.
Acting on a tip off, police raided the house of Abdul Chattar Chowdhury and recovered the coin yesterday.
During the raid, the young girl tried to flee but was captured by the investigating officer and the coin was recovered from her possession at Ramnagar area of the Dharmanagar sub-divisional town.
Police said some international smugglers were behind this racket and police has launched a search operation.
Sources said interrogation is on.
