Tech Mahindra bags SSE-CMM Level 3

Chennai, Jun 5 (UNI) Tech Mahindra, one of the leading IT service companies in India, today announced it had been successfully appraised for SSE-CMM Level 3 (Systems Security Engineering Capability Maturity Model).

Mr John Hopkinson, President of International Systems Security Engineering Association (ISSEA), presented the rating profile to Tech Mahindra President (International Operations) C P Gurnani, a company release here said.

Tech Mahindra was one amongst the three companies worldwide to had been appraised for SSE-CMM Level 3.

''With the greatly increased focus on CRITICAL Infrastructure Protection and the pervasiveness of software in the control of the infrastructure, many nations are actively putting in place measures to encourage and mandate Secure High Assurance Software,'' Mr Hopkinson said.

Tech Mahindra had been successfully appraised at SSE-CMM Level 3 for various types of projects organisationally.

This was the first formal SSE-CMM appraisal to be conducted in India, placing Tech Mahindra in the select list of global companies that had formally adopted the SSE-CMM, it added.
