Surupsingh Naik undergoes angiography
Mumbai, June 5 (UNI) Former Maharashtra Transport Minister Surupsingh Naik, who is undergoing a month's jail sentence for contempt of court, today underwent an angiography at Jaslok Hospital here.
Immediately after being sent to jail, Mr Naik had complained of a heart problem and was admitted to JJ Hospital.
Sources at the JJ Hospital said Naik underwent an angiography at Jaslok Hospital. The septuagenarian tribal leader from North Maharashtra has a 25 per cent block in the left anterior artery, according to the report.
However, the condition does not require hospitalisation of the patient as it can be treated with medicines and Naik is likely to be discharged from hospital in a day or two, the sources said.
