Sugar prices rise on lesser stocks arrivals
Navi Mumbai, June 5 (UNI) Sugar prices displayed an upward trend on fresh buying support from local bulk consumers in the face of lesser stocks supply by mills, traders here today said.
Sugar rates of small and medium grades gained by Rs ten and Rs five per quintal, respectively, on lack of offers by stockists.
Sugar rates of ex-mill small and medium grades also rose by Rs 5 per quintal each, on increased demand by local dealers.
Following were the sugar spot rates per quintal: Small grade Rs 1,883/1,935, medium grade Rs 1,920/1,975.
Ex-mill small grade Rs 1,865/1,895 and medium grade Rs 1,915/1,925.
