Six get lifer

Jamtara, June 5 (UNI) A local court here today awarded life imprisonment terms to six persons accused of killing a minor boy.

According to the prosecution, Ajit Sarkar, Peter Murmu, Samir Murmu, Asit Murmu, Malay Kisku and Parvez Aami severely beat up a 14-year-old boy Shushanto Das in the Budhudih village under Jamtara police station on September 13, 1995.

The boy later succumbed in the hospital.

Additional district and sessions judge Arun Kumar held them guilty and awarded life imprisonment terms to all the six accused.
