Ahmedabad, June 5 (UNI) Textile Minister Shankersinh Vaghela today said the remark of Supreme Court that ''if an exhibitor of the movie approaches the concerned police for protection, the same shall be provided'' is a ''slap on the Gujarat government'' headed by Narendra Modi.

Replying to a question on the 'Fanaa' film controversy, the Minister said Congress is not opposed to the movie. However, they have reservations on actor Aamir Khan's role with the Narmada Bachao leaders.

''He is in the wrong camp but the issues he (Aamir) had raised were right,'' the Minister said, and added that the Gujarat government had yet to complete the rehabilitation and resettlement work.

He claimed still 8,000 families have to be re-settled.

Mr Vaghela said if the Supreme Court stops work on Narmada Dam at its next hearing, it will be the responsibility of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh governments, as they had not completed their job.
