SAAP to organise state hockey tournament for under-16

Hyderabad, June 05 (UNI) The Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh (SAAP) proposes to organise a state hockey tournament for boys under- 16 in association with Hyderabad Hockey Association and Andhra Hockey Association to promote and develop the game in the state and better standards among budding hockey players.

Participants from 21 districts would be exposed to astroturf for the first time.

The two associations were organising summer coaching camps as a regular feature. A selection committee headed by Mukesh Kumar would watch to spot talent.
