Rs 10 Cr earmarked for Celebration of Karnataka Golden Jubilee
Bangalore, June 5 (UNI) The Karnataka Government has set aside Rs 10 Crore for celebration of State's Golden Jubilee on November one this year, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy said today.
Speaking at a Award presentation function here, he said the government had chalked out a detailed programme to cerebrate the year in a fitting manner in all the Districts and in the State Capital.
Mr Kumaraswamy and Deputy Chief Minister Yediyurappa presented awards to Mr Dattatreya Sadashiva Garuda (Hindustani Music-T Chowdaiah National Award), Mr I S S Kaushik (Kanakapurandra Award for Gamaka), Mrs Renukamma Muragodu (Drama-Dr Gubbi Veeranna Award), Mr Vijaya Sindhoor (Painting-Varnashilpi Venkatappa Award), Mr Ishwarappa Phatigeppa Minajji (folk music-Santa Shishunal Shariff Award), Mrs Siriyajji (Folk songs-Janapadashree Award), Mrs Leena Ramanathan (Classic Dance-Shantala Award), Mr C Siddalingaiah (Sculpture-Jakannachari Award), Dr Veena Shantheeshwara (Literature-Daana Chintamani Award).
