Rahul Bajaj, his wife have assets worth over Rs 425 cr

Mumbai, June 5 (UNI) Industrialist Rahul Bajaj, who today filed his nomination as an independent candidate backed by Shiv Sena, the BJP and NCP for the June 15 Rajya Sabha byelection, said his family has assets worth over Rs 425 crore.

In the affidavit, Mr Bajaj whose company is a manufacturer of two and three wheeler vehicles, said his movable was assets worth Rs 271 crore, while his wife Ruparani possesses assets worth Rs 92 crore.

He said he is a resident of Bajaj Vihar at Akurdi in Pune.

Interestingly, they do not have motor vehicles.

He has 3/4th ownership in a 2880 sq ft flat at NCPA apartments at Nariman Point, while his wife owns a row house at Janki Kutir in suburban Mumbai.

Mr Bajaj has 25 per cent share in his Hindu undivided family worth over Rs 26 crore and 50 per cent share in the Kamalnayan Bajaj HUF amounts to over Rs 30 crore.

Mr Bajaj owns 3.34 carat diamonds, while his wife has 125.39 carat diamonds and 1,637 gm gold. He also has 27 carat diamonds as part of his 50 per cent share in his father Kamalnayan Bajaj's property.

He and his wife does not own agricultural, non-agricultural land and buildings (commercial, residential).
