Parihar gang abducts 8 Brahmins

Morena, MP, June 5 (UNI) The dreaded Jagjivan Parihar dacoit gang operating in the Chambal valley has kidnapped eight Brahmin youths last night, police said today.

Additional Superintendent of Police Manish Kapooria said the youths were abducted while they were working in a sand quarry at Rajkheda tehsil in Rajasthan's Dhaulpur district.

Dhaulpur SP Prafful Kumar arrived here with heavy police force and met Morena SP Ravi Gupta after which, a strategy was devised and combing launched to search for the abducted.

There were reports that one of the abducted had been released by the dacoits after receiving ransom.
