Nokia's tryst with fashion

Bangalore, June 5 (UNI) Leading cellphone manufacturer Nokia today launched 'Nokia Nseries Fashion Flix,' an amalgamation of cutting-edge technology and changing lifestyle, showcasing exclusive designer wear from the country's renowned fashion gurus.

The event, premiering renowned fashion designers such as Nisha Jamvwali designing for Ffolio, Deepika Govind and Manoviraj Khosla, would be held on June eight, 15 and 22 in the city. It would be followed by screening of a movie, with eminent personalities from the fashion and business fraternity attending it.

Detailing the association with 'Nokia Nseries Fashion Forecast Fall 06', Nokia India Multimedia Marketing Manager Alok Mehta said the high-end Nseries range of cellphones combined cutting edge design, high performance and sleek form factor to give customers a world class lifestyle device that not only enhanced their lifestyle but also helped them connect with their passions.

The Nseries offered WLAN and 3g and was the first handset to feature UPnP technology, video storage, wireless print, digital camera, web browsing and FM radio.

Deepika said she intended to give an Indian identity to international design. Accepting denim to be an integral part of the wardrobe of the country's youth, she had created a mix of denim and khadi in her designer clothes.

Nisha believed in fashion for everyone and hence cut designs for Ffolio, showcasing clothes for all ages from teens to even women in their 60s.
