National girls U-17 soccer in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, June 5 (UNI) National Girls Under-17 Football Championship would be held here from July 10 to 27, the Chandigarh Football Association (CFA) announced today.

CFA President Ravinder Talwar chaired the annual general body meeting, which approved the tournament likely to see the participation of 28 teams. The association will soon finalise the venues and the matches are likely to be played at the Panjab University Campus and Punjab Engineering College grounds. The final may be conducted at the Sector 17 Football Stadium.

Besides finalising its calender for this year, the CFA has also decided to start tournaments in the villages in Chandigarh.
