MP judges to get 'uniform' allowance
Bhopal, June 5(UNI) Among a slew of additional facilities being provided on the Supreme Court's directive, the Madhya Pradesh government today decided to sanction allowance for uniforms to all members of the judicial service.
''In a block of five years, the judges will be entitled to uniform allowance of Rs 5,000'', the State Cabinet, presided over by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, decided today.
The Cabinet approved reimbursement of electricity and water bills, newspapers, city compensatory allowance, government vehicle or petrol allowance for using own vehicle, vehicle loan at nominal interest rate, entertainment allowance, medical facilities, leave travel allowance per four year block, special pay for extra work and leave encashment, Public Relations Minister Narendra Singh Tomar told reporters while briefing on the Cabinet decisions.
Retired judges will also be provided medical facilities or allowance at par with serving judges, the Cabinet decided.
The additional facilities to judges will entail additional expenditure of Rs 14.50 crore in the first year and recurring expenditure of Rs 8.46 crore every year, Mr Tomar said.
