J D (S) deplores hike in prices of petroleum products
New Delhi, Jun 5 (UNI) Deploring a hike in fuel prices by the UPA government, Janata Dal (Secular), an ally of the UPA, today said it would take the issue to the people.
J D (S) General Secretary and Spokesman K Danish Ali said the government should have reduced customs duty and excise instead of hiking the prices of petrol by Rs four a litre and diesel by Rs two.
"We will take the issue to the people and on June 7, our President and former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda will address a rally at Lucknow," he remarked.
