Shimla, June 5 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Cabinet today decided to regularise the services of 15,000 daily wage workers who had completed eight years of minimum service, official sources said.

The Cabinet meeting, which was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, decided to regularise those workers, who besides completing eight years of service, fulfilled other terms and condition necessary for regularisation.

The sources said the Cabinet consented to establish a Finger Print Bureau to provide criminal investigation facilities to the state police department by building its own databank. The Bureau would also help in identifying badly mutilated and burnt people.

It also approved the regularisation of 10 daily wage workers in the Prison Department who have completed minimum prescribed services and other conditions required for regularisation to strengthen the state prison department.

The sources said the meeting also decided to relax the Recruitment and Promotion Rules of class four employees in the Forest Department to pave the way for regularization of 63 daily wagers.

It also gave it approval to lease out 191.08 bighas of land at Majra village in Solan district to Shivalik Solid Waste Management for setting up of the treatment storage and disposal plant.
