Girls over-shadow boys in both inter high school exams

Dehra Dun, June 5 (UNI) Girls out classed boys both in High School and Intermediate examination results in Uttaranchal. Total pass percentage of Intermediate this year is 75.57, and 52.19 per cent in High School.

According to Uttaranchal Education and Examination Board Chairman S K Maheshwar, over all passing per centage has increased by 7.58 per cent in Intermediate and 7.66 per cent in High School. He said in all 1,76,653 students appeared in the High School examination and 1,45,664 passed. Girls pass percentage was 14.29 per cent higher than the boys in High School examinations. In the Intermediate Examination total 95,214 students appeared and 71,957 passed, girls outclassing boys with 13.28 per cent higher percentage.

Kumari Ritu Kandpal and Narendrapal Singh of Udhamsingh Nagar topped the merit list in intermediate and High school with 88.20 and 88.50 percentage respectively.
