Chennai, Jun 5: Asian Electronics (AEL), a leading energy services company, has bagged an order worth over Rs 53 crore from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL).

The contract entailed supply, construction, erection, testing and commissioning of transmission and distribution lines and distribution transformers on turnkey basis under 'Gaothan Feeder Separation Scheme' for Aurangabad Zone, a company release said here today.

'The Feeder Separation Scheme' was designed by MSEDCL for fast-track improvements in electricity supply to villages and to reduce the enforced prolonged power cuts prevalent currently.

AEL Chairman and Managing Director Suresh Shah said the contract was won against competition from many Indian and multinational giants.
