76 suspected Chikun Gunya patients treated
Mysore, June 5 (UNI) The Mysore City Corporation health officials have treated nearly 76 suspected Chikun Gunya patients at health screening camps conducted at various places in the city.
Corporation Health Officer Dr Nagaraj told UNI that the medical team visited Hasakere in the city and a survey at 75 houses there revealed that nine adults and six children had symptoms of Chikun Gunya disease.
The blood samples of patients would be sent to the National Institute of Virology in Bangalore for further investigation.
The doctors also conducted a medical screening camp at Jyothinagar, where nearly 345 families were tested and medicines provided.
