Two sadhus among 4 drowned in Ganga

Varanasi, June 4 (UNI) Two sadhus and the minor son of a Samajwadi Party leader, were among four people who drowned at separate places in river Ganga river here today.

Police said the ascetics -- Avdhesh Das and Ram Kishan Das -- drowned while taking a dip near Khidkiya Ghat under Adampur area.

In another incident, Shamshad of Gaya (Bihar) drowned in Ganga while taking bath at Bhaisasu ghat.

Meanwhile, Nilesh, the four-year-old son of SP leader Ravindra Jaiswal, also drowned after slipping into the river.
