Three TDP leaders join Congress

Tirupati, June 4 (UNI) Three leaders including former Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLA from Chandragiri today joined the Congress in Andhra Pradesh.

Former TDP MLA Jayadeva Naidu, his wife Devimma and Chittoor District Telugu Rythu leader B Bhaskar Naidu were admitted into Congress in the presence of Chief Minister Y S Rajashekara Reddy at a public meeting at Nagari.

Mr Reddy was at Nagari to lay the foundation stone for Galeru Nagari Sujala Sravanthi (GNSS) project, which will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 2189.26 crore to provide water to 1.03 lakh acres of agricultural land in Chittoor and 1.55 lakh acres in Kadapa in Rayalaseema districts.
