Three held with gold and cash

Bongaon, June 4 (UNI) At least three people, including a Bangladesh national, were held by the Border Security Force at Petrapol border along Bangladesh near here in North 24 Parganas.

At least 500 gm gold, Rs 9 Lakh in Bangladeshi currency notes, and some chemicals were seized from them.

The accused were nabbed when they were crossing the border through the Benapol-Petrapol corridor here in disguise of clearing agents.

The BSF apprehended them at about 1000 hours yesterday and upon frisking the gold plates were recovered, BSF officials said.

The BSF authorities here interrogated the trio before handing them over to police.
