Hyderabad, Jun 4: Bharatiya Janatha Party (BJP) senior leader M Venkaiah Naidu today said there was no need to launch a Telangana movement if the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) introduces a bill in Parliament for a Telangana state.

Talking to newspersons here, Mr Naidu said the BJP was committed to the formation of a separate Telangana and the party would support the bill if any.

Alleging that the Congress and Telangana Rastra Samithi (TRS) have no political will to resolve the issue, he said the Telangana and the coastal Andhra Pradesh would develop further once the bifurcation is done.

Mr Naidu questioned both the parties about the grounds on which they had forged an electoral alliance and demanded that they should clarify their stand on the issue.

The BJP would support all like-minded parties on the issue, he said.
