Suicide car bomber kills 3 Afghans in Kandahar

KANDAHAR, Afghanistan, Jun 4 (Reuters) A suicide car bomber today killed three Afghans in the southern city of Kandahar in an attack aimed at the provincial governor, police officials said.

Governor Assadullah Khalid survived the attack while travelling in a car through the heart of Kandahar, scene of several suicide attacks by Taliban insurgents in the past.
