''The scientific instruments manufacturing industry is in the midst of a crisis and this town which was once known all over the country for precision instruments is fast losing its psition,''.
ASIMA President Ashwani Goel told UNI.
The assoiation members pointed out that while the government was boasting of attracting big business houses to the state, nothing was being done for boosting business of the existing industries in the state.
They are sore over the attitude of successive governments and the local politicians who never bothered to take up the problems being faced by the instrument mnaufacturing units.
The problem of power shortage and the lack of proper banking facilities had aided to the decline of the scientific instruments industry.
The latest problem plaguing the industry is the stiff competition that it is facing from the Chinese products which are avaliable in the market at cheaper rates.
