Sabarimala temple to open on June 5

Pathanamthitta, June 4 (UNI) The Lord Ayyappa Temple at Sabarimala will be opened for the celebration of idol installation day tomorrow. On June Six, the 'prathishta day,' 'Sahasra kalasabhishekam,' 'Kalabhabhishekam,' 'Udayasthamana Pooja' and 'Padipooja' will be performed.

The 'Sahasrakala' Pooja will be held on the night of June five during which Tantri Kantararu Mohanaru will offer 'poojas' to 1001 'Kalasams' placed in array on Tantric designs drawn in the eastern 'Mandapam.' Regular Poojas will begin on the morning of June Six, the 'Prathista Day,' with an 'Ashtadravya Maha Ganapathi Homam' by the Tantri. The 'Sahasrakalabhishekam' and 'Kalabhabhishekam' will be held along with 'Ucha Pooja.' The Temple will be closed on June six at 2200 hrs. It will be reopened for the 'Poojas' in the Malayalam month of 'Mithunam' on June 14.
