Rainfall at many places in coastal and interior Karnataka

Bangalore, June 4(UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the Weather Office here at 0830hrs today.

Rainfall occurred at most places over Coastal Karnataka and at many places over Interior Karnataka.

Chief rainfall amounts (cm): Panambur Shirali 5 each, Gerusoppa, Honavar, Karwar, Madikeri, Bangalore AP 4 each: Bajpe, Kollur, Hukkeri 2 each, Mudibidre, Hubli, Jamakhandi, Belgaum, Haveri, Bangalore, Bellary 1 each.

Forecast valid until Tuesday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at most places over Coastal Karnataka, at many places over South Interior Karnataka and at a few places over North Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at most places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka and ghat areas of South Interior Karnataka, at many places over Belgaum, Dharwad and Haveri districts of North Interior Karnataka and Mandya, Mysore, Chamarajnagara districts of South Interior Karnataka and at a few places over remaining districts of North Interior Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.

Forecast for Bangalore city: Generally cloudy. Rain/ Tundershowers likely towards evening/night. Strong surface winds occasionally gusty.
