Railway eves win Rani Jhansi tourney
Thane, June 4 (UNI) India Railways defeated Air India by 20 runs to win the Rani Jhansi International cricket tournament for women here today.
Railways, electing to bat first, posted a decent total of 138 runs for the loss of four wickets in the stipulated 25 overs.
Replying, the airline team could manage only 118 for five in their full quota of overs.
Earlier West Zone, despite receiving a six wickets drubbing at the hands of Central Zone ended up at the third spot.
West Zone, after being put into bat, could manage to post only 109 for two in their 25 overs. The Central Zone eves overhauled the target in 24th over losing just four wickets in the process.
In another match, South Zone defeated East Zone by eight wickets.
