New Delhi, June 4 (UNI) The condition of Late Pramod Mahajan's son Rahul, who fell seriously ill after a champagne party late Thursday, improved further today and he will be ready for police questioning in a day or two, the Apollo hospital said.

''His clinical condition has improved. The non-invasive ventilator support on which he was put yesterday is being used intermittently. He is taking semi-solid food and fluid orally. His vital parameters are stable,'' hospital Director Anupam Sibal told reporters.

To a question he said a police team came to the hospital today to find out about Rahul's clinical condition. He may be ready for police questioning in a day or two, he added.

Dr Sibal said Pramod Mahajan's former Secretary Harish Sharma- who was earlier questioned by police- was also admitted to the hospital yesterday after he complained of high blood pressure. Mr Sharma would be discharged today, he said.

Dr Sibal clarified that the hospital has only carried out a toxic screen test of Rahul's urine sample, taken three hours after he was brought to the hospital, early on Friday.

Test of blood samples taken at the time showed low level of alcohol. The hospital had mainly carried out the routine clinical test of Rahul's blood and urine samples and gave its report.

It was for the investigating agencies to find out whether any drug was taken at the party or not, he said.

Doctors were awaiting CFSL's (Central Forensic Sciences Laboratory) report on Rahul's stomach fluid which would help identify the cause of his illness, he added.

Meanwhile, police investigation in the case also progressed.

Police were questioning a few suspected drug-dealers, including a Nigerian national, detained last night.

Three young men present at Mr Mahajan's 7, Safdarjang Road residence on Thursday night were also being questioned. The fourth person present at the party, Sahil Zaroo, was being brought to Delhi on two days transit remand from Srinagar, where he surrendered yesterday.
