Pondy Airport to resume operations

Pondicherry, Jun 4 (UNI) Commercial flight operations from the Pondicherry Airport is expected to resume on June seven after a gap of more than a decade.

According to official sources here today, New-Delhi-based Jagson Airlines had come forward to operate flights between Pondicherry and Chennai, Bangalore and Tirupati. A 18 seater Dornier 228 aircraft will be pressed into service.

Accoring to the memorandum of understanding signed between the government and Jagson, the administration will have to sell 50 per cent of the tickets.
