Minda Industries net profit up by 27 pc

New Delhi, June 4: Minda Industries Ltd (MIL), the flagship company of Rs 500 crore Minda group, has registered 27 per cent growth in its net profit for the financial year 2005-06 at Rs 12.95 crore as against Rs 10.22 crore in the last year, recommending a dividend of 25 per cent.

The sales for FY06 increased by 35.5 per cent at 268.05 crore as compared to 196.26 crore a year ago. The sales for the fourth quarter grew by 53.98 per cent over the sales for the corresponding period last year.

The Earnings Per Share of the company (EPS) stood at Rs 12.04 in FY06, up from Rs 9.43 in FY05.

MIL, a Rs 268 crore company, designs, develops and manufactures switches for two and three wheelers and has plants in Gurgaon, Pune, Hosur, Delhi and Aurangabad. It employs over 1200 employess.
