Iraq gunmen kill 24 civilians at checkpoint

BAGHDAD, Jun 4 (Reuters) Gunmen dragged 24 civilians out of their cars at a makeshift checkpoint in a town north of Baghdad today and shot them ''execution style'', said a senior police official.

The victims included students, children and elderly men, said the police official in Diyala province.
