Heavy rains predicted in southern India
Pune, June 4 (UNI) The southwest monsoon has been active in Konkan and Goa.
In the regions where the southwest monsoon is yet to set in, day temprature were appreciably to markedly below normal in Gangetic West Bengal, interior Orissa, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, north madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh and Telangana. They were normal over the rest of the regions.
Heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Orissa, Konkan and Goa, coastal Karnataka and at many places in Kerala.
Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and at a few places in Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, interior Karnataka and at isolated places in Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat state and Marathwada.
Heavy to very heavy rain have occurred at a few places in Orissa.
Heavy rain have occurred at most places in Konkan and Goa and at many places in east Uttar Pradesh.
Very light rain have occurred at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Marathwada, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Uttaranchal, coastal Karnataka and at many places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, madhya Maharashtra, interior Karnataka, Lakshadweep and at a few places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, west Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and at isolated places in Assam and Meghalaya, Jammu and Kashmir, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
