Former woman Mayor remembered

Pondicherry,June 4(UNI)Floral tributes were paid to former Mayor Mrs.Saraswathi Subbiah, the wife of veteran CPI leader V Subbiah on her first death anniversary here today.

CPI legislator R Viswanathan,state secretary Na Ra Kalainathan and several party functionarires paid floral tributes to a decorated portraite of Mrs.Subbiah here to mark the occasion.

She was the first woman Mayor of Pondicherry.
