CBI nabs DSP in J
New Delhi, June 4 (UNI) The CBI today arrested Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Asraf Mir at Srinagar for his alleged involvement in the sensational sex racket in the state.
The CBI spokesman said Mir was the first high-level police official, identified by the minor girl, who was forced into prostitution in the state.
In a test identification parade (TIP), he was identified by the girl.
Mir was absconding ever since he was identified during the parade.
Mir was posted at Baramullah.
Out of the eight accused, six were in judicial custody and two are on bail.
