Bhupathi-Malisse advance into the quarters

Paris, June 4 (UNI) India's Mahesh Bhupathi and his Belgian partner Xavier Malisse trounced the Swiss duo of Yves Allegro and Stanislas Wawrinka 6-3, 6-1 in a third round match to avance into the men's doubles quarterfinals at the French Open here today.

It was a ruthless display of tennis by the Indo-Belgian combination, who took a little more than an hour to register the win.

Bhupathi and Malisse got into their groove soon and broke the Swiss pair twice to clinch the first set 6-3.

The second set proved to be an even more lop-sided affair and the Indo-Belgian pair hardly broke a sweat to seal the set 6-1 and advance into the last eight.

Bhupathi-Malisse will take on the winner of the match between Travis Parrott and Vincent Spadea and fifteenth seed pair of Romanian Andrei Pavel and Alexander Waske of Germany.
