Balram Jakhar's nephew joins BJP
Amritsar, June 4 (UNI) Vinod Jakhar, a nephew of Madhya Pradesh Governor and former Union minister Balram Jakhar today announced his decision to leave the Congress and join the BJP.
Mr Jakhar who hails from the Abohar area of Ferozpur district made this announcement at the 'Parivartan Rally' of the BJP addressed by party general secretary and former Union minister Arun Jaitley here. Local MP and former test cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu was also present on the occasion.
Others who joined the BJP were Bhupinder Singh, a former private assistant of Punjab Excise and Taxation minister Sardool Singh and Baba Balkar Singh of the Tarna Dal, a Nihang sect.
