Auditor caught redhanded while taking bribe

Bikaner, June 4 (UNI) The Anti-corruption department has arrested one auditor from Co-operative department while taking a bribe yesterday.

Superintendent of police Mr B L Jain told that he received a complaint from Mr Gopal Singh, Manager of Gram Seva Sahakarita Samiti (village cooperative society) that Auditor Ami Lal was demanding Rs two thousand on the pretext to provide him the audit report for the year 2004-05.

After verifying the complaint, with the help of Anti-corruption Department, a trap was laid to nab the auditor. A case has been registered against the accused under the relevant act, Mr Jain added.
