Abducted Russians released in Iraq -state TV
BAGHDAD, June 4 (Reuters) Iraqi state television today quoted Interior Ministry officials as saying that four Russian embassy employees kidnapped in Baghdad yesterday have been released.
But police sources said they had not received any word of a release. yesterday, police sources said they had been rescued by special forces. But a police official dismissed that report on Sunday.
A Russian foreign ministry spokesman said: ''At the moment we can neither confirm nor deny the information about the release.'' REUTERS SY RN1253
