2 dead, 5 hurt as lorry overturns

Visakhapatnam, Jun 4 (UNI) A mother and her four-year-old daughter were killed and five injured when a lorry overturned near Udghandpadu Village on Chennai-Kolkata National Highway in the district this evening.

Police said the lorry was proceeding to Visakhapatnam from Vijayawada when it overturned. The victims were travelling on the top of the lorry.

The deceased were identified as K Mutyallamma (22) and Sandhya.

The bodies were sent to KGH Hospital for post-mortem.

Commercial Taxes Minister K Ramakrishna who visited the injured at the hospital. He assured to provide them with financial assistance.
