Technical University Vice Chancellor dismissed
Bhopal, June 3 (UNI) Bhopal's Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya Vice Chancellor Prof M C Gupta has been dismissed from service following complaints of financial and administrative irregularities, official sources said today.
Governor Balram Jakhar, who is also Chancellor of the university, yesterday issued order for the dismissal of Prof Gupta, who was earlier asked to submit his explanation.
A high-level committee headed by Justice Shambhu Singh also inquired into the complaints against Prof Gupta.
Meanwhile, Dr S N Verma, Dean of the University Teaching Department, has been given charge as Acting Vice Chancellor till the appointment of a regular Vice Chancellor to oversee all technical educational institutions in the state.
