SSB outpost in charge commits suicide

Pilibhit, June 3 (UNI) A Shashastra Seema Bal (SSB) outpost in-incharge, posted on the Indo-Nepal border here allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his carbine.

Police today said Mahavir Prasad -- a native of Mahendragarh district of Haryana -- bolted his room from inside before taking the extreme step yesterday.

By the time, his colleagues broke open the door, Mahavir had succumbed to his injuries, police added.

His body had been sent for autopsy.
