Night curfew on India-Pak borders increased
Bikaner, June 3: Night curfew along the India-Pakistan border falling in the Bikaner district has been increased for two more months.
District magistrate Aloke Gupta issued the order in this regard, saying the night curfew has been implemented to stop trespassers and illegal activities on the border. The curfew will be on from 1900 hours till 0600 hours in the morning.
A total ban has been imposed on people's movement during the curfew. Special permission can be obtained from the Border Security Force for important work and irrigation of fields.
Orders have been issued to villagers living in borders villages of Pugal, Khajuwala, Kolayat, Bullar Gulam, Aliwala, Simasan Chaughan, Boriyavali and Kamarkala. to stay indoors during the curfew hours.
The PCOs in the area have been instructed that they should not allow anybody to makes calls to numbers with Pakistan code and maintain a register of any other international calls made.
A one month jail and Rs 200 penalty will imposed on anybody flouting the rules.
Reports from Jaisalmer say that Collector Krishnakant Pathak also issued orders for increasing the night curfew on the India-Pakistan borders falling in the district for two more months.
