NCP withdraws Niranjan Davkhare's candidature on technical grounds

Mumbai, June 3 (UNI) The NCP has changed its candidate in Konkan Graduate's Constitueny, replacing Niranjan Davkhare by Nilesh Chavan.

Davkhare, son of deputy chairman of Maharashtra Legislative council Vasant Davkhare was earlier announced as the candidate from this constituency. But his candidature was withdrawn on technical grounds. NCP sources said his candidature was withdrawn after it was found out that he was underage.

Now, Mr Nilesh Chavan will be the NCP's candidate from this constituency, an NCP release said here today.
