PARIS, Jun 3 (Reuters) Australian 14th seed Lleyton Hewitt humbled Slovakia's Dominik Hrbaty 7-6 6-2 6-2 today to set up a possible showdown with defending champion Rafael Nadal in the fourth round of the French Open.
Nadal plays France's Paul-Henri Mathieu on centre court later today.
After an exchange of breaks in the first set, Hewitt was forced into a tie-break which he won 7-5 when Hrbaty, seeded 22, hit a backhand wide.
He raced to a 3-0 lead before pocketing the second set in 44 minutes before wrapping up the match on his second match point.
Hewitt, who has never reached the last four at Roland Garros, was still a doubt three days before the start of the tournament with an ankle injury.
